Man Arrested in Connection With Robbery in St. George's

At 5:10pm on Friday February 16th police responded to a report of a robbery that took place on Kent Street in St. George's.

The complainant reported that he was walking along the said street in the vicinity of the Unfinished Church, when he was approached by a lone rider on a dark coloured cycle who made demands of money.

As a result, the victim gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money and the suspect then made good his escape.

Fake Social Media Accounts Impersonate Local Government Officials

The Bermuda Police Service is aware of deceptive social media accounts using the names of real Government officials.

It appears that individuals on social media, particularly Facebook and Instagram, are ‘cloning’ the social media (Facebook and Instagram) accounts of Bermuda public officials – namely the Premier and Government Ministers.

These fake social media profiles are being used to contact members of the public and make demands of money for alleged Government initiatives and proposals.

Death of Canine

The Bermuda Police Service is aware of disturbing images of a dog that was found dead in the waters off of Admiralty House in Pembroke. An investigation into the incident has commenced in conjunction with the relevant governmental authorities.

Police are interested in speaking with anyone who may have any information that may assist with the investigation.

Condition Updates on Four Injured in Three Separate Crashes Friday

Three separate collisions Friday, December 1st left four persons injured – two of them seriously.

South Road, Paget – A 16 year old female rider and 16 year old female pillion passenger were hurt in a single vehicle crash when the auxiliary (50cc) cycle they were traveling on went over an embankment along South Road, Paget in the vicinity of Southcote Road around 7:55pm Friday.

Motorcyclist Injured in Kindley Field Road Crash

Around 10pm Saturday, October 28th police and first responders were dispatched to a reported single vehicle motorcycle crash on Kindley Field Road in St. George’s in the vicinity of the round-a-bout near L.F. Wade International Airport.

It appears that the rider, believed to be a 44 year old St. George’s man, crashed after going off the road on to the grassy verge.

Two Motorcyclists Injured in Warwick Collision Saturday Night

Around 9:20pm Saturday, July 22nd police and first responders were dispatched to a reported two vehicle collision on Middle Road in Warwick near the junction with Longford Road.

It appears that two motorcyclists traveling in opposite directions collided.

The two riders involved, believed to be a 52 year old Warwick man and a 29 year old Southampton man, were injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment.

Devonshire Collision: Injured Rider Treated at Hospital & Discharged

Around 11:40am Saturday, July 15th police and first responders were dispatched to a reported two vehicle collision on North Shore Road in Devonshire.

It appears that a motorcyclist struck a car as the driver attempted to turn into Devonshire community field.

The injured rider, a 19 year old Pembroke man, was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance where he was treated and discharged later that same day.

At last check earlier Sunday (July 9th) the 32 year old and 24 year old male motorcyclists injured around 4:55am Saturday, July 8th on Parsons Lane in Devonshire were in stable condition in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.

At last check earlier Sunday (July 9th) the 27 year old male motorcyclist injured in a collision with two cars around 8:40pm Friday, July 7th on Middle Road, Warwick near the junction with Tamarind Vale remained in stable condition in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.

Around 11pm Saturday, July 1st police and first responders were dispatched to a reported two vehicle collision at the junction of Watlington Road East and Brighton Hill Road in Devonshire involving a car and a motorcycle
