Two Men Remain in Police Custody, One Woman & Four Men Bailed [Updated]

The investigation regarding the anti-social incident at Southampton Rangers Sports Club continues.

Currently two of the men arrested (24 and 32 years old respectively) following Saturday’s early morning anti-social incident remain in police custody – while three other men (21, 25 and 30 years old respectively) arrested in connection with the incident have been released on police bail pending further inquiries.

Renewed Witness Appeal: Single Vehicle Car Crash Saturday Night [Updated]

The appeal continues for witnesses to a single vehicle car crash that occurred around 7:45pm Saturday 19th January 2019 on South Road in Paget, near the Coral Beach Club, where the vehicle involved went off the road.

The occupants, said to be two 64 year old men, were both arrested in connection with the incident and inquiries continue regarding the circumstances that led to the crash.

Car Overboard After Saturday Crash in Southampton: Driver Unhurt

Around 5:20pm Saturday, January 5th police and fellow first responders were dispatched to a reported single vehicle car crash on Middle Road in Southampton.

It now appears that the car involved was being driven in the eastbound lane of Middle Road when it struck the roadside wooden fence, went down an embankment and ended up overboard, partially submerged, in the vicinity of Five Star Island.

Sudden Death of 51 Year Old Selena Minors

The Bermuda Police Service can now formally confirm the death of 51 year old Selena Minors, who was discovered in an unresponsive state at her residence on Cove Valley Lane in St. George's yesterday at 3:58pm.

Death was later medically certified, and an investigation into her death is now underway. A family liaison officer has been appointed to the family and the Bermuda Police Service would like to extend our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.

Upcoming Road Sobriety Checkpoints in Six Parishes

The Bermuda Police Service would like to advise the public that the next series of road sobriety checkpoints (as specified in the Official Gazette Notice Thursday, December 13th) will be conducted starting this Friday, December 21st.

The checkpoints will be in effect in Hamilton parish, Devonshire, Pembroke, Paget, Warwick and Southampton on Friday, December 21st, Saturday, December 22nd and Sunday, December 23rd.

Seven Impaired Motorists Arrested: Friday Night Until Early Sunday

A total of 7 motorists were arrested for impaired driving from Friday night (December 7th) until early Sunday morning (December 9th).

Five impaired drivers were arrested at road sobriety checkpoints from Friday night until early Saturday morning. Another two impaired drivers were arrested at road sobriety checkpoints from Saturday night until early Sunday morning.

Taxi & Car Involved in Collision Saturday Evening [Updated]

Around 6:50pm Saturday, November 24th police and fellow first responders were dispatched to a reported two vehicle collision at the north round-a-bout, intersection of Crow Lane (Pembroke), Berry Hill Road and The Lane (Paget)

It now appears that a taxi driven along The Lane intending to continue on to Berry Hill Road and a car driven along Crow Lane collided as both vehicles attempted to negotiate the north round-a-bout, with the taxi then striking a wall before ending up on its side.

Inquiries Underway Regarding Sudden Death in Warwick [Updated]

Around 10am today (November 4th) police and fellow first responders were dispatched to a reported medical emergency at a Banana Lane, Warwick residence.

It appears that a 51 year old female resident was found inside the home in an unresponsive state.

She was rushed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance but later pronounced dead.

Detectives Assist With Department of Child & Family Services Inquiry

Detectives are assisting with inquiries after Department of Child and Family Services personnel reported an infant at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital receiving treatment for a head injury Friday evening (October 26th).

Apparently the infant, said to be a 12 month old boy, was initially admitted to the Intensive Care Unit but later flown overseas by air ambulance for further medical treatment.

Update: Two Car Collision on North Shore Road in Smith’s Parish

Details remain limited at this time regarding the two car collision that occurred on North Shore Road in Smith’s parish near the junction with Jennings Road (Police Beach area) around 9:20pm Saturday, October 20th.

However, police can now confirm that the driver of one of the vehicles involved – believed to be a 33 year old Pembroke woman – was taken to hospital via ambulance for medical assessment and subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving.
