Bullet Recovered

An off duty police officer reported that just after 2:40 p.m. on Sunday 21st February, 2021, he was approached by a member of the public who handed him a live bullet. It is believed that the bullet was found in the Harlem Heights area of Hamilton Parish.

On duty officers recovered the bullet, which will be forensically processed.

Suspicious Activity

Around 9:55 p.m. on Saturday 20-Feb-2021, Police received information that two men wearing all black clothing, were repeatedly seen riding around the area of Harlem Heights Road in Hamilton Parish on a black motorcycle.

IMMITATION FIREARM RECOVERED:

At around 10:20 pm on Sunday 21st, Jun, police received information of a male acting suspiciously in the area of Union Street in the City of Hamilton.

Reports are the suspect was seen to have placed an object inside a trash receptacle located on the sidewalk.

Officers responded and upon inspecting the trash can which belongs to the Corporation of Hamilton, they recovered an imitation firearm.

THEFT FROM CHURCH:

At 11:03 p.m. on Sunday 21st June, police received a report of a burglary at Christ Church on Middle Road in Warwick. Information is that the incident occurred sometime between 5:00 p.m. on Friday 20th June and 10:30 p.m. on Saturday 21st June.

There was no sign of forced entry.

An unknown suspect reportedly entered the church, and stole a quantity of foodstuff including 3 boxes of frozen chicken, which were meant to provide meals as part of a community feeding program which has been operated by the church since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

STOLEN BIKE RECOVERED:

Shortly after midnight on Sunday 21st June, police received a report of two males behaving in a suspicious manner in the Admiralty House, Pembroke, area. 

The pair who were travelling on a motorbike, entered the park and headed towards Mariners Lane.

They then abandoned the bike near the waterside on mariners Lane. It was later discovered that the bike was reported stolen back on the 29th of May, this year from the Berkeley Hill, Pembroke area.

 

Confirmed Firearm Incident on Field View Lane: No Reported Injuries

The Bermuda Police Service is investigating a confirmed firearms incident which occurred shortly before eight a.m. on Sunday 16th February.

Officers were called out to Field View Lane in Pembroke following several reports of multiple gunshots being heard in the area.

Reports are two men wearing dark clothing rode into the area on a dark coloured motorcycle. One of them got off the bike, ran to one of the nearby Bermuda Housing Corporation apartments and fired several shots into one of the units.

Witness Appeal After 28 Year Old Man Hurt in Reported Motorcycle Crash

Around 8:40pm Friday, January 24th police and fellow first responders were dispatched to a reported single vehicle motorcycle crash in Devonshire.

It appears that a passing female motorist found a 28 year old Pembroke man lying in the road – injured and unconscious, but breathing – along Middle Road in Devonshire, near the junction with Montpelier Road. She then called emergency services for assistance.

Two Male Riders Injured in Pembroke Collision Friday: One Arrested

Around 6:20pm Friday, January 17th police, Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service as well as ambulance personnel were dispatched to a reported two vehicle collision in Pembroke.

It appears that a motorcyclist, said to be a 54 year old Devonshire man, was traveling west along St. John’s Road and a 50cc scooter rider, said to be a 24 year old Pembroke man, was traveling in the opposite direction when the collision occurred near the junction with Cox’s Hill Road.

Update: Female Rider Injured in 3 Vehicle Collision Treated & Discharged

A 49 year old Sandys parish woman motorcyclist has been treated and discharged from hospital after being injured in a collision involving two other cars.

The incident occurred along South Road in Devonshire near Devon Spring Road around 4pm Friday, January 10th.

Male Rider in ICU After Reported Single Vehicle Motorcycle Crash

Around 2:50am Sunday, January 5th police and fellow first responders were dispatched to a reported single vehicle motorcycle crash at the junction of North Shore Road and Black Watch Pass in Pembroke.

It appears that the rider, said to be a 37 year old Devonshire man, was traveling east along North Shore Road when he struck the round-a-bout at the junction – sustaining injuries to his chest, leg and hands.
