Bermuda Police Service – Information Statement

The Bermuda Police Service has compiled an Information Statement in preparation for the introduction of the Public Access to Information Act 2010. In accordance with Section 5 (4) of the act, as of April 1st 2015, the Information Statement will be made available for inspection by the public at Police Headquarters in Devonshire, at any police station, at the Bermuda National Library, at the Bermuda Archives and online at http://www.bermudapolice.bm.

Traffic Flow Along Crow Lane Returns to Normal

Morning commuters are advised that there are no longer any traffic restrictions in place along Crow Lane and traffic can now flow freely into and out of the city.

Traffic Advisory: Temporary Traffic Lights Along Section of Harbour Road

The motoring public is advised to expect delays in the Harbour Road, Paget area near the Royal Hamilton Amateur Dinghy Club, due to roadwork.

Morning commuters are advised to obey the temporary traffic lights in the area and consider taking alternate routes if possible‎.

The patience and cooperation of motorists traveling along this section of Harbour Road is appreciated.

Traffic Advisory: Collision in Warwick

A reported traffic collision earlier this morning on Middle Road in Warwick, near the junction with Khyber Pass has apparently resulted in an overturned car and downed live wires in the road. As a result there are traffic delays in the area. Motorists are advised to take alternate routes if possible. An update will be given when more details are available.

Traffic Advisory: Reported Oil Spill in Knapton Hill Area

Motorists are advised to use extra caution driving and riding in the Knapton Hill, Smith's parish area this morning due to a reported oil spill.

If possible, an alternate route should be taken until the situation can be rectified.

Traffic Advisory: Paget Traffic Lights Currently Out of Order [Updated]

The motoring public is advised that the Paget traffic lights are currently out of order due to a temporary electricity outage in the area.

As a result, a police officer is posted at the Middle Road, South Road Paget junction to direct traffic.

Traffic Delays: Sound View Road, Sandys Parish Area [Updated]

Mon, 2014-11-17

There are currently traffic delays in the Sound View Road, Sandys parish area due to a reported three vehicle collision that occurred around 9:15am. Initial information suggests that a water truck, police car and bus were involved.

At this time, there are no reported injuries. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and to take alternate routes if possible. More details will be provided as they become available.

Traffic Diversion: Serpentine Road, Pitts Bay Road Pembroke Area [Updated]

Motorists are advised to avoid the Serpentine Road, Pitts Bay Road Pembroke area and use alternative routes until further notice as BELCO personnel work to repair downed electrical wires. An update will be provided as soon as normal traffic flow can resume in the Serpentine Road, Pitts Bay Road area.

Update: 6pm Thursday - The Serpentine Road, Pitts Bay Road and Cemetery Road Pembroke area has since been cleared of downed electrical wires from earlier this afternoon.

Traffic Diversion: Stowe Hill, Paget Area [Updated]

Motorists are advised to avoid the Harbour Road, Stowe Hill Paget area until further notice as work is ongoing to clear trees and other debris from that location. It is recommended that traffic traveling into the City of Hamilton along Harbour Road divert on to Middle Road via Manse Road or Chapel Road, while traffic traveling out of the City of Hamilton should use Trimingham Road. An update will be provided as soon as normal traffic flow can resume in the Stowe Hill area. Update: Normal traffic flow has since resumed in the Harbour Road, Stowe Hill Paget area.

Traffic Diversion: Dock Hill, Devonshire Area [Updated]

Motorists are advised to avoid the North Shore Road, Dock Hill Devonshire area until further notice as BELCO personnel work to repair downed electrical wires. An update will be provided as soon as normal traffic flow can resume along that section of road.

Update: Normal traffic flow has since resumed in the Dock Hill, Devonshire area. The motoring public is thanked for their patience and cooperation while downed electrical wires at that location were rectified.
