Public Urged Not to Circulate Video Clip of Court Street Firearm Incident

The Bermuda police service is aware of a video clip of the firearms incident which occurred on Court Street in the early hours of Sunday, March 10, 2024, now being circulated on social media.

We wish to remind that this matter remains under investigation and sharing these images could hamper that investigation.

Not to mention, the images are quite disturbing and would no doubt be of concern to the victim and those close to him.

We strongly urge that should you receive this video clip, you immediately delete it from your device and not share it on.

Somerset Police Station Public Phone Service Disrupted

Please be aware that the station phone located outside the Somerset Police Station, which is used by members of the public to call for service after hours, is currently out of service.

Efforts are being made to have the service restored as quickly as possible.

In the interim, persons attending the Somerset Police Station seeking assistance are advised to call 295-0011 and we will respond accordingly.

We apologise for the inconvenience caused.

Public Advisory Regarding Voice Note & Video Clips Circulating

The Bermuda Police Service is aware of a voice-note accompanied by video clips warning residents to be aware of an individual suspected of breaking into properties on Second Avenue, Pembroke.

A report has been received from a member of the public and investigation has commenced.

Anyone with any information on this matter is urged to please call 211, the main police number 295-0011 or upload the information to the BPS Community Reporting Portal, https://portal.police.bm.

We also advise against confronting any individual you suspect of having broken into your residence. Instead, please contact police via the aforementioned means.

Fire at Westover Farm: Public Advised To Stay Away Until Further Notice [Updated]

Around 10:20am today, Thursday 25th November, a fire was reported at Westover Dairy Farm in Sandys parish.

Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service personnel are currently on scene dealing with the blaze, with Bermuda Police Service personnel also in attendance to assist as necessary.

The public is advised to stay away from the property until further notice, while the fire is being brought under control.

A further update from the Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service is anticipated in due course.

Public Advisory: BPS Training Exercise Underway

The Bermuda Police Service (BPS) is advising the public that a police training exercise is currently taking place today (Friday, 12th November) at Police Headquarters in Prospect, Devonshire.

The training started at 9:15am and is scheduled to finish by 4pm.

There may be loud noises during this time, which should only last for around 20 minutes.

Relevant signage will be in place during this BPS training exercise and we thank the public in advance for their understanding.
