81 Year Old Motorcyclist Remains in ICU

At last check 12:50pm Sunday, June 7th, the 81 year old male motorcyclist injured in a collision with a truck that occurred around 1:50pm Monday, June 1st at the junction of Cavendish Road and Lane Hill in Pembroke remained at the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit in critical condition.

Inquiries regarding this collision continue and any witnesses that have not yet come forward should contact the main police telephone number 295-0011.

Reported Missing Teenager: Luke Smith [Located]

The Bermuda Police Service is appealing for the public’s assistance in locating 13 year old Luke Smith, who was reported missing around 12:15am Sunday, May 31st.

He is described as brown complexioned, approximately 5’8” tall of slim build with close cut ginger hair and was last seen in Sandys parish Saturday morning (May 30th) – apparently at the Somerset Majorette Competition.

19 Year old Male Stab Victim Recovering

At last check the 19 year old Sandys parish man injured in an apparent stabbing that occurred around 6pm Saturday, May 2nd outside Woody's Sports Bar in Sandys parish was recovering on a general ward at the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

The teenager’s injury is not considered to be life threatening.

Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Harbour Road Collision

Around 1am on Sunday, April 26th first responders were dispatched to a reported single vehicle motorcycle collision on Harbour Road in Paget near the junction with Chapel Road.

The injured motorcyclist, a 62 year old Warwick man, apparently collided with a wall.

Man Injured at Sports Club Early Saturday

Around 3:20am on Saturday, April 18th first responders were dispatched to a report of an injured man at Somerset Cricket Club.

Details remain limited at this time; however it appears that a 22 year old Sandys parish man sustained a cut to his neck by an unknown person brandishing a bladed article.

Two Men Arrested After Flight Diversion [Updated]

Around 12:55pm on Sunday, April 12th police officers responded to a report of two disruptive passengers on a diverted Thomson Airways flight landing at L.F. Wade International Airport.

The two male passengers involved were subsequently escorted off the plane and taken into police custody.

The Thomson aircraft was apparently en route from London, U.K. to Cancun, Mexico.

Single Vehicle Collision in Devonshire

Around 10:30am on Saturday, March 21st first responders were dispatched to a reported single vehicle collision on North Shore Road in Devonshire near the junction with Dock Hill, where a car driver collided with a wall.

The driver, believed to be a 34 year old Hamilton parish woman, apparently received relatively minor injuries and was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for medical assessment as a precaution.

Man Arrested After Domestic Incident in Southampton

At 7:50am on Sunday police responded to a report of an incident that took place at a residence on Riviera Estates in Southampton.

Upon police arrival it was ascertained that two men were engaged in an altercation with one of the men brandishing a weapon (mattock).  It was believed the weapon wielding man was barricaded in a shed however he then was seen walking on a near by road. After a brief struggle with police the man was arrested and taken into police custody.

Two Vehicle Collision in Hamilton Parish

Police responded to a report of a two vehicle collision that took place on North Shore Road in Hamilton Parish just west of Studio Lane involving two cars on Saturday at a few minutes after 6am. It appears that one of the vehicles was traveling east along North Shore Road when the driver collided with a Bermuda Stone wall embankment located near the eastbound lane and flipped over and landed a few meters away. As a result, a car traveling in the opposite direction collided with that vehicle.

Burglary Suspect Arrested

Around 2:30am on Saturday, January 31st police officers on mobile patrol in the City of Hamilton were alerted to an apparent burglary of a business in the Church Street, Washington Lane area by a member of the public.

A 56 year old Pembroke man located at the scene was arrested in connection with this matter and a court appearance is anticipated in due course.
