Disturbance

Around 9:20pm on Saturday, the Police Support Unit (PSU) and other Police units attended a reported disturbance at White Hill Field in Sandy’s parish. On arrival officers patrolled the Railway Trail in search of the suspects, after receiving reports of a male stabbing victim; however, neither the suspects nor the victim were located.

Arrest

Police were on mobile patrol around 1:50am Saturday on North Shore Road in Devonshire, when officers came upon a driver of a car acting suspiciously. The car was stopped and officers noticed that two males were in the car. It was at that point the occupants of the car were searched under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

Medical Emergency

At 10 this morning, Police attended a reported medical emergency at the Bermuda International Airport. It appears that a male passenger on board American Airlines flight #1019 from Boston, Massachusetts (USA) to San Juan, Puerto Rico experienced heart problems while en route. The plane was subsequently diverted to Bermuda.

Fatal RTC

Around 12 noon today, Police attended a reported serious single vehicle road traffic collision on Glebe Road in Pembroke. Details about the collision remain unclear; however it appears that a motorcycle was traveling north on Glebe Road when the rider, a 32 year old Pembroke man, lost control of the vehicle. He was taken to KEMH for treatment but succumbed to his injuries a short time later.

Witness Appeal

Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses to a serious road traffic collision that occurred around 10:45pm Friday, at the junction of Dundonald Street and Cedar Avenue in Pembroke involving an auxiliary cycle and a Police vehicle that claimed the life of 21 year old Michael Scott Kozma. The investigation into the death of Mr. Kozma is moving very well.

At 10:45pm on Friday, Police attended a reported serious road traffic collision resulting in injury at the junction of Dundonald Street and Cedar Avenue in Pembroke involving an auxiliary cycle and a Police vehicle.

Assault

Around 1:45 this morning, Police attended a reported assault at the White Hill Club on Middle Road in Sandy’s parish. It appears that the victim, an 18 year old Warwick man, was at a function at the club with friends when he went to purchase drinks. As he did so, he was attacked by a young man with a machete. The suspect and victim are known to each other.

Injury RTC

At 12:55am on Saturday, Police attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on Crow Lane in Devonshire near the junction with Corkscrew Hill. It appears that a motorcycle was traveling east on Crow Lane when the rider, a 32 year old Southampton man, lost control and collided with several road dividers. As a result, the motorcycle was extensively damaged.

Breaking & Entering

At 7:10pm on Saturday, Police attended a reported breaking and entering at a Holly Lane, Smith’s parish residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 2:40pm and 6:30pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into her home. The culprit stole several items of jewelry and a cellular phone. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Injury RTC

At 9:35pm on Friday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on Parsons Lane in Devonshire, involving an auxiliary cycle and two motorcycles. It appears that a Honda motorcycle was traveling east on Parsons Lane when it was in collision with a Malaguti auxiliary cycle and a Yamaha motorcycle traveling in the opposite direction.
