Around 4:20am on Saturday, Police on mobile patrol discovered a single vehicle road traffic collision on Harrington Sound Road in Smith's parish near the junction with Arrowroot Lane. It appears that the white jeep was traveling east on Harrington Sound Road when the driver lost control, colliding with a fence. As a result, the vehicle ended up in a nearby garden and was extensively damaged.

Around 9:30pm on Saturday, Police attended a reported robbery on South Road in Southampton. On arrival officers spoke with the victims, a 48 year old man and a 47 year old woman (husband & wife) who are American visitors to the island. Around 8:30pm the visitors left their Southampton hotel to go to a South Road, Southampton restaurant.

Damage Only RTC

Around 4:55 this morning, Police attended a reported single vehicle damage only road traffic collision on Harrington Sound Road in Smith's parish, near the junction with Odyssey Drive. It appears that the car was traveling west on Harrington Sound Road when the driver lost control attempting to negotiate a sharp left hand bend and collided with a wall.

Breaking & Entering

Around 1:55pm today, Police received a report of a breaking and entering at a Printers Alley, St. George's residence. The complainant stated that sometime between 7:45am and 11:30pm on Thursday, an unknown culprit gained entry into her home. The culprit stole two gold rings, a gold bracelet and food items. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

At 4:45 this morning, Police attended KEMH following a report of an assault. On arrival officers spoke with the victim, a 20 year old Devonshire woman, who stated that while she was at her residence in the early hours of the morning she was awakened by the sounds of an individual trying to gain entry into her residence.

Around 4:15 this morning, Police attended a reported assault outside of Champions on Reid Street in the City of Hamilton. It appears that a fight took place between a few men outside the club, and it is believed a bladed weapon was used in the attack. As a result two men were injured and taken to KEMH via ambulance.

At 11:45pm on Friday, Police attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on Middle Road in Devonshire near the junction with Garthowen Road. It appears that a motorcycle was traveling east on Middle Road when the rider lost control, colliding with the sidewalk. As a result, the motorcycle received front end damage.

Shoplifting

At 11:50am on Saturday, Police attended a report of shoplifting at A. S. Cooper's on Front Street in the City of Hamilton. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that earlier a man entered the store and took a brown suede & leather ladies handbag before fleeing the premises on foot.

Body Found At Devonshire Bay Identified

The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 49 year old Raymond Howes of Devonshire. The body of Mr. Howes was discovered washed up on the shoreline of Devonshire Bay in Devonshire around 7:45am on Tuesday, October 11, 2005. Following forensic examination of the body it was positively identified as that of the 49 year old Devonshire man.
