Injury RTC

At 10:10pm on Sunday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on Barkers Hill in Devonshire involving two cars. It appears that a silver Opel Astra was traveling south down Barkers Hill when it was in collision with a white Skoda traveling in the opposite direction. As a result, both cars were extensively damaged.

Fire

Sat, 2005-03-26

Around 5:15 this morning, Police received a report of a fire at the Bus Depot on Beacon Hill Road in Sandy’s parish. The Bermuda Fire Service also attended the scene, with two appliances and 15 firefighters. On arrival several buses were engulfed in flames. Officers immediately alerted the occupants of residences in the area and advised them to evacuate. A total of seven buses were damaged.

Injury RTC

Thu, 2005-03-24

At 6:25 this morning, Police attended a reported serious single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on Crow Lane in Paget near the North Round-a-bout. It appears that an auxiliary cycle was traveling south on Crow Lane when the rider, a 26 year old Warwick man, lost control of the cycle near the junction with Corkscrew Hill.

Breaking & Entering

Wed, 2005-03-23

Around 10:40pm on Wednesday, Police attended a reported breaking and entering at Somerset Primary School on Gilbert Lane in Sandy’s parish. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 6pm and 10:30pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into the principal’s office. The culprit stole an unknown amount of cash. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

The Search for the Cooper Twins

Police are continuing the search for missing twins Jahmal and Jahmil Cooper who were last seen in the early hours of Sunday March 13, 2005 at a residence on Crown Hill Lane in Devonshire. 25 officers will continue the systematic search to locate the missing men.

Assault

Tue, 2005-03-22

Around 8:25pm on Friday, March 18, Police attended a reported assault on Court Street in Pembroke. On arrival officers saw the victim, a 55 year old Pembroke man, with his face covered in blood. The officers approached the man and attempted to tend to his injuries; however he refused any assistance.
