Damage Only RTC

Around 2:40pm on Wednesday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish involving four vehicles. It appears that a black Suzuki Vitara jeep was traveling west on North Shore Road when the driver, a 52 year old Pembroke man, lost control of the vehicle. As a result the jeep crossed over into the path of three vehicles traveling east striking the first, a black Toyota Rav 4 jeep before colliding head on with a green Peugeot car. This caused the Peugeot to collide with the car behind it (a white Hyundai Prime). The 52 year old Pembroke man was subsequently arrested for suspicion of impaired driving. The black Suzuki Vitara jeep and green Peugeot car sustained extensive frontal damage, while the other two vehicles involved also sustained damage, but to a lesser extent. Despite this, no one was injured as a result of the collision. However, the driver of the Peugeot, a 64 year old Pembroke man, was taken to hospital for medical reasons not associated with the collision.
