At 9:05am on Monday, Police attended a reported robbery at the junction of Cedar Avenue and Dundonald Street in Pembroke. The victim, a 17 year old Pembroke boy, stated that he was walking along Cedar Avenue when a man called out to him. He went over to the man, and the suspect snatched the Pembroke boy's gold chain.
Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses to a disturbance that took place around 5:30pm Saturday, October 15, 2005 on Court Street near the junction with Angle Street in Pembroke. The victim, a 33 year old Paget man, was attacked with a machete and sustained serious lacerations to his hands, forearms and head.
At 9:05pm on Sunday, Police attended a reported attempted robbery on Fairyland Road in Pembroke. On arrival officers spoke with the victim, a 29 year old Pembroke woman, who stated that she was riding her motorcycle along Serpentine Road when she noticed someone on a motorcycle riding behind her.
At 12:35pm today, Police attended a WB's Way, Hamilton parish residence and arrested a 37 year old Pembroke man wanted in connection with a disturbance that occurred around 5:30pm Saturday on Court Street near the junction with Angle Street in Pembroke. The Pembroke man was taken into custody without incident and is expected to appear before the courts in due course.
The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 49 year old Raymond Howes of Devonshire. The body of Mr. Howes was discovered washed up on the shoreline of Devonshire Bay in Devonshire around 7:45am on Tuesday, October 11, 2005. Following forensic examination of the body it was positively identified as that of the 49 year old Devonshire man.
At 10am on Thursday, Police attended a reported breaking and entering at a Smith's parish guest property. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who is a visitor to the island. He stated that sometime between 10:30pm on Wednesday and 7am on Thursday, an unknown culprit gained entry into his room.
The Bermuda Police Service is aware of an increased amount of forged BDA $100 notes in circulation on the island.
