Disturbance

Around 11:30am on Thursday, Police attended a reported disturbance outside the Market Place on Church Street in the City of Hamilton. It appears that two men got out of a vehicle in front of the supermarket and approached two men sitting in another vehicle. The suspects then assaulted the victims in the vehicle with baseball bats.

At 6pm on Wednesday, Police attended a reported breaking and entering at a South Road, Paget residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 4pm and 5:30pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into her home. The culprit stole several items of jewelry, a Sony video camera, 3 digital cameras, several DVDs, $300 worth of coins and personal items.

The Bermuda Police Service is reporting a breaking and entering that took place at Meadow Lane in Devonshire at 4pm yesterday. The complainant states that he walked into his home only to find out that someone had gained entry into his dwelling and ransacked it looking for items to steal. The thief made off with a Panasonic DVD player, a pair of Ray Ban shades, numerous coins, and a silver Gucci watch.

Around 1:50am on Sunday, Police attended the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute (BUEI) on Crow Lane in Pembroke after receiving a report of pepper spray being used. On arrival officers spoke with the victim, an 18 year old Sandy’s parish man, who stated that around 1:30am three men sprayed a substance believed to be pepper spray in his face.

Around 9:20pm on Saturday, the Police Support Unit (PSU) and other Police units attended a reported disturbance at White Hill Field in Sandy’s parish. On arrival officers patrolled the Railway Trail in search of the suspects, after receiving reports of a male stabbing victim; however, neither the suspects nor the victim were located.

At 9:30am on Thursday, Police attended a reported breaking and entering at a Paget guest property. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who is a visitor to the island. He stated that sometime between 11pm on Wednesday and 7am on Thursday, an unknown culprit gained entry into his room. The culprit stole $150 in cash. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 12:25 this morning, Police arrested a 33 year old St. George’s man at the Bermuda International Airport for suspicion of importing a controlled drug. Investigations are ongoing.

At 4:15pm on Wednesday, Police attended a reported breaking and entering at a Knapton Estates Road, Smith’s parish residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 12:40pm and 3:30pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into her home. The culprit stole several items of jewelry and a bottle of alcohol. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
