Mon, 2005-11-21

At 8am on Monday, Police attended a reported breaking and entering at a Camden North Road, Paget property. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 5:30pm on Saturday and 6:45am on Monday, an unknown culprit gained entry into a tool shed on the premises. The culprit stole a DeWalt skill saw, a DeWalt kanga hammer, a DeWalt power drill, a black tool bag and a radio/CD player. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Impaired Driving

Around 1:40 this morning, Police on mobile patrol on South Road near the junction with Fritholme Gardens in Paget observed a motorcycle traveling in the opposite direction in an erratic manner. The rider of the motorcycle, a 30 year old Paget man, was stopped and asked to get off of the motorcycle. At that time officers noticed that the Paget man appeared to be under the influence of alcohol and arrested him on suspicion of impaired driving. He was then taken to Hamilton Police Station and detained after failing the alco-analyser test.
