Injury RTC

Around 6:50 this morning, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on Middle Road in Southampton near the junction with Church Road involving a car and a van. It appears that the car was traveling east on Middle Road (in the area of Barnes Corner) and the van was traveling in the opposite direction when the vehicles collided. The driver of the car, a 62 year old Sandy’s parish woman, sustained facial lacerations. The driver of the van, a 41 year old Paget man, was not injured. Both vehicles received moderate front end damage. Apparently as a result of this collision traffic in the area experienced delays. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Burglary

Around 6:30pm on Wednesday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Roberts Avenue, Devonshire residence. The complainants stated that sometime between 11am and 4pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into their home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a quantity of cash and a gold necklace. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

At 10am on Wednesday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Mount Hill, Pembroke residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime earlier an unknown culprit gained entry into his home. The culprit stole a watch and a quantity of cash.
