At 8:40am on Thursday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on Front Street in Pembroke near the junction with King Street , involving three cars. It appears that all three vehicles (a blue Daihatsu Charade, a white Mitsubishi hatchback and a blue Honda CRV) were in a line of motorists traveling east on Front Street; however, the white Mitsubishi and the blue Honda CRV were already stationary due to traffic. The driver of the blue Daihatsu, a 24 year old St. George’s woman, attempted to stop in time but was unsuccessful; as a result, the Daihatsu collided with the Mitsubishi hatchback, which then collided with the Honda CRV. The driver of the Daihatsu was not injured; the driver of the Mitsubishi, a 68 year old Pembroke woman, sustained soreness to her neck and back and was taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment, while the Mitsubishi’s front seat passenger, a 39 year old Paget man, was not injured. The driver of the Honda CRV, a 43 year old Warwick woman, was not injured. The Daihatsu received front end damage, the Mitsubishi received front and rear end damage, while the Honda CRV received rear end damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
