Handbag Snatch

At 9:35am on Tuesday, Police attended a reported handbag snatch on Mangrove Bay Road in Sandy's parish, near the junction with Cambridge Road. On arrival officers spoke with the victims, a 67 year old woman and her 67 year old husband, who are American visitors to the island. The couple stated that they were walking back to Cambridge Beaches and as they reached the entrance to the property, the 67 year old woman felt her handbag being pulled from her shoulder as a motorcycle passed close by. The suspects could only be described as two men wearing dark coloured clothing and black helmets on a black motorcycle. The handbag contained $40 in cash and personal items. The 67 year old woman was not injured. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Breaking & Entering

At 12:10 this morning, Police attended a reported breaking and entering at a Paget guest property. On arrival officers spoke with the complainants who stated that around 11:45pm on Tuesday, they were awoken by noises in their room. They then saw an unknown man walk out of the room and make good his escape. The culprit stole U.S. $40 in cash. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
