Handbag Snatch

At 8:40pm on Sunday, Police attended a reported handbag snatch from a St. George's guest property. On arrival officers spoke with the complainants who are visitors to the island. They stated that earlier they were walking towards their accommodation when two young men approached from behind. One of the young men grabbed the female complainant's purse and then both men made good their escape on foot towards Old Maid's Lane. The suspects are described as two black males, one approximately 5'8" tall and the other slightly shorter. Both were wearing black jackets and appeared to be 15 - 25 years old. The two tone brown handbag contained U.S. $300, $100 Canadian and personal items. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Theft

At 7:40am on Friday, Police attended a reported theft from an unattended vehicle parked on Cobbs Hill Road in Warwick. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 5pm on Thursday and 7:15am on Friday, an unknown culprit had gained entry into the trailer attached to his truck. The culprit stole a Red Max blower, a Steel pull saw, a hedge trimmer and a Weed Eater. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Weekend Activity

Over the weekend there were 3 people arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and 1 incident of breaking and entering. There were also 25 damage only road traffic collisions and 10 road traffic collisions resulting in injury.
