Injury RTC in St. George’s - Around 4:45am on Sunday, Police and first responders attended a reported three vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on Southside Road in St. George’s in the vicinity of the Southside Cinema. It appears that a SUV, a car and a taxi were traveling along Southside Road when the collision occurred. The drivers of the SUV and the taxi, a 37 year old Pembroke man and a 41 year old Sandys parish man respectively, were injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. Their condition is unknown at this time. The driver of the car, a 32 year old St. George’s man, was not injured. All three vehicles were extensively damaged. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact PC Romeo Allen on 295-0011.
Disturbance in Hamilton Parish
Around 9:15pm on Saturday, Police responded to a reported disturbance at the Majorette Competition held at Shelly Bay Field in Hamilton parish. However, on arrival there was no disturbance taking place and no one wished to make a formal complaint.
Strong Showing For Crime Stoppers & Police Pedal Cyclists
At 8:30am on Sunday, the Bermuda Bicycle Association held the second in its road race series at Southside. The top finishers in the Adult Men’s ‘A’ Division were PC Damian Sharp (Team Fast Forward Bicycle Works) and PC Dennis Joell (Team Crime Stoppers) who placed second and fourth respectively. Leading the pack home in the Adult Men’s ‘B’ Division was PC Anthony Bartley (Team Crime Stoppers). PC Jason Ming (Team Crime Stoppers) won the Adult Men’s ‘C’ Division. Special mention also to Malik Joell (Team Crime Stoppers), winner of the Junior ‘C’ Division and his teammates Jayden Ming and Max Arthur who were third and fourth respectively.
