Injury RTC on Pitts Bay Road - Around 5:30pm on Monday, Police and first responders attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on Pitts Bay Road in Pembroke near the junction with Rosemont Avenue. Details about how the collision occurred are unclear at this time; however it appears that a rental cycle was traveling along Pitts Bay Road when it collided with a wall. Apparently the two individuals on the rental cycle sustained minor injuries. Inquiries are underway.

Injury RTC on North Shore Road

Around 5:15pm on Monday, Police and first responders attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish near the junction with Abbot’s Cliff Road involving a car and a motorcycle. It appears that both vehicles were traveling along North Shore Road when they collided. The rider of the motorcycle, a 69 year old man, was injured; however his injuries are not believed to be serious. The driver of the car, a 48 year old woman, was not injured. Both vehicles were damaged and there were traffic delays in the area as a result. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Injury RTC at Court Street & Dundonald Street

Around 4pm on Monday, Police and first responders attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury at the junction of Court Street and Dundonald Street in Pembroke involving a motorcycle and a truck. Details about how the collision occurred are unclear at this time; however the motorcycle rider was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. There were traffic delays in the area as a result. Inquiries are underway.

Road Safety Advisory

The Bermuda Police Service continues to advise the motoring public to slow down and to drive as well as ride responsibly on the island’s roads. Additionally, we urge those traveling in cars to use their seatbelts at all times and make sure any children traveling in the vehicle are appropriately restrained. Those traveling on motorcycles should always fasten their helmets and avoid making a third lane.

Burglary Advisory

The Bermuda Police Service continues to advise the public to remain vigilant regarding burglaries by making sure windows and doors are locked before leaving their homes unattended, even for short periods of time. Residents are encouraged to report any suspicious vehicles, activities or individuals in their neighbourhoods to Police on 295-0011.
