Burglary - At 5:20pm on Tuesday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Lynwood Drive, Hamilton parish residence. It appears that sometime between 8:10am and 5:10pm that day, an unknown culprit or culprits gained entry into the home while it was unoccupied. The culprit(s) stole a quantity of cash, electronic items, jewelry and alcohol. Two suspects, a 36 year old Hamilton parish man and a 27 year old Sandys parish man, have been arrested in connection with this matter. Some of the stolen property was also recovered. Inquiries into this incident are ongoing.

Advisory - Burglaries

The Bermuda Police Service continues to advise the public to remain vigilant regarding burglaries by making sure windows and doors are locked before leaving their homes unattended, even for short periods of time. Residents are encouraged to report any suspicious activities or individuals in their neighbourhoods to Police on 295-0011.

Assault

Around 10:10am on Tuesday, Police responded to a report of an alleged single vehicle collision involving a pedal cyclist in the Harlem Heights Road, Hamilton parish area. Details about the incident are unclear; however the victim, a 41 year old Hamilton parish man, sustained a head injury. He was initially treated at the scene before being taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for further medical care. Inquiries into this incident are ongoing. Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact the St. George’s Criminal Investigation Unit on 293-2222.
