Disturbance - Around 9:10pm on Saturday, Police responded to a reported disturbance at BAA on Woodlands Road in Pembroke. On arrival officers found there was no disturbance taking place. However, as a result of further inquiries at the scene, four men in their early 20s were detained. Of the four men initially detained, two were subsequently released without charge. The remaining individuals, a 20 year old St. George’s man and a 22 year old Warwick man, were arrested for using offensive words and outstanding warrants respectively.

Robbery

Around 12:35am on Saturday, Police responded to a reported robbery. It appears that the victim, a 25 year old Warwick man, was walking along Middle Road in Warwick near the junction with Spring Hill when he was accosted by an unknown man. The suspect took the victim’s wallet and made good his escape. The Warwick man was apparently uninjured. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact the Somerset Criminal Investigation Unit on 234-1010.

Burglary

Around 8:30am on Saturday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Morgan Hill, Sandys parish residence. It appears that sometime between 7:30am on Thursday and 7am on Friday, an unknown culprit gained entry into the home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole an Apple I-Pad. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 8:10am on Saturday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Beacon Hill Lane, Sandys parish residence. It appears that sometime between 7am and 6pm on Friday, an unknown culprit gained entry into the home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a quantity of jewelry. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 6:30pm on Friday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Bridge View Lane, Sandys parish residence. It appears that sometime between 7:30am and 4:30pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into the home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a quantity of cash, a Sony PlayStation video game system and a men’s white & blue pedal cycle. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Advisory - Burglaries

The Bermuda Police Service continues to advise the public to remain vigilant regarding burglaries by making sure windows and doors are locked before leaving their homes unattended, even for short periods of time. Residents are encouraged to report any suspicious activities or individuals in their neighbourhoods to Police on 295-0011.
