Fire - At 1:30am on Thursday, Police responded to a report of a fire at the junction of Court Street and Angle Street in Pembroke. On arrival at the scene the Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service had extinguished the fire. It appears that a garbage bin was ablaze and as a result the receptacle was extensively damaged. A nearby car was also damaged by the fire. A 59 year old man has been arrested in connection with this incident and inquiries are ongoing.

Injury RTC

Around 9:45pm on Wednesday, Police and first responders attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on Mid Ocean Drive near the junction with Tuckers Town Road in St. George’s involving a SUV and a pedestrian. It appears that the pedestrian, a 48 year old Hamilton parish woman, was walking near a round-a-bout in the area and the SUV was negotiating the round-a-bout when the collision occurred. The Hamilton parish woman was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. The driver of the SUV, a 65 year old Southampton man, was not injured and the vehicle was not damaged. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Burglary

Around 7:30pm on Wednesday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Homestead Lane, Southampton residence. It appears that sometime between 8am and 5:45pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into the home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a Sony PlayStation 3 video game system including three games, two jackets, a Nikon digital camera and a Sony video camera. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 5:10pm on Wednesday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Sunrise Drive, Hamilton parish residence. It appears that sometime during the day an unknown culprit gained entry into the home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a Dell laptop computer and a quantity of jewelry. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 3:30pm on Wednesday, Police received a report of a burglary at an Evans Bay Road, Southampton residence. It appears that sometime between 12 noon and 3pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into the home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a quantity of jewelry. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
