Burglary - Around 7:35pm on Tuesday, Police received a report of a burglary at a South Road, St. George’s residence. It appears that sometime between 7:15am and 7:30pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into the home while it was unoccupied; however apparently nothing was taken. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

During the day on Tuesday Police also received reports of attempted burglary in the Middle Road, Paget area and the Scaur Hill Drive, Sandys parish area as well as a report of prowling in the No Name Lane, Sandys parish area. On Tuesday evening there was a report of prowling in the Middle Road, Southampton area.

The Bermuda Police Service continues to advise the public to remain vigilant regarding burglaries. All residents should make sure windows and doors are locked before leaving their homes unattended, even for short periods of time. Also, before retiring to bed at night all windows & doors should be locked with any valuables secured out of sight. The public is encouraged to report any suspicious activities or individuals in their neighbourhoods to Police on 295-0011.

Injury RTC

Around 6pm on Tuesday, Police and first responders attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on Somerset Road in Sandys parish near the junction with Mangrove Bay Road involving two motorcycles. It appears that both motorcycles were traveling along Somerset Road when they collided. The rider of one of the motorcycles, a 21 year old Warwick woman, sustained a leg injury. She was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. The other rider, a 59 year old Pembroke man, was not injured. Both motorcycles received moderate damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Damage Only RTC

Around 1:30pm on Tuesday, Police attended a reported damage only road traffic collision on Middle Road in Smith’s parish near the junction with Aldie Drive involving two cars. It appears that both cars were traveling along Middle Road when they collided. Neither driver was injured; however both cars were damaged.
