Burglary - Around 3:35am on Monday, Police responded to a report of a burglary at a Robin Hood Drive, Pembroke residence. It appears that around 3:25am that day an unknown culprit gained entry into the apartment brandishing a bladed article and accosted one of the occupants, a 39 year old Pembroke man. The other occupant, a 29 year old Pembroke man, managed to escape unharmed. The intruder fled the scene with a quantity of cash. The victim sustained facial injuries but declined medical treatment. The suspect is described as a tall dark skinned male of slim build, wearing a long dark coloured hooded jacket and long dark coloured pants. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.

Injury RTC

Around 10:30pm on Sunday, Police attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on Harrington Sound Road in Smith’s parish near the junction with Lolly’s Well Road. It appears that a car was traveling along Harrington Sound Road when the driver, a 32 year old Smith’s parish man, lost control. As a result the vehicle went over an embankment and overturned. The driver was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. The passenger, a 26 year old Warwick man, was also injured; however he declined medical treatment. The car was extensively damaged. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to contact PC Darren Harvey on 295-0011.

Sudden Death

Around 12:40pm on Sunday, Police responded to a report of a sudden death at a Northlands Lane, Pembroke residence. The lifeless body of a 60 year old Pembroke man was found inside the residence. Inquiries into the incident are ongoing and an autopsy is anticipated.

Weekend Activity

Over the weekend there were 3 people arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and 8 reported burglaries. There were also 8 reported damage only road traffic collisions, 5 reported road traffic collisions resulting in injury and 2 vehicles reported taken without their owners’ consent.
