Injury RTC/Impaired Driving - Around 9pm on Thursday, Police and first responders attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury at the junction of North Shore Road and Loyal Hill Road in Devonshire involving a car and a motorcycle. It appears that both vehicles were traveling along North Shore Road when they collided at the junction. The rider of the motorcycle, a 33 year old Devonshire woman, was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. She was subsequently released. The driver of the car, a 34 year old Hamilton parish man, was not injured; however he was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and detained after failing the alco-analyser test. Both vehicles received moderate damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 4:30pm on Thursday, Police and first responders attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury at the junction of Middle Road and Chaingate Hill in Devonshire. On arrival at the scene officers found a 58 year old Devonshire man lying in the road next to a damaged auxiliary cycle. The Devonshire man was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment of his injuries and subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
