Injury RTC - Around 2:30am on Monday, Police and first responders attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury at the junction of Middle Road and Scenic Heights Pass in Southampton. It appears that a motorcycle was traveling along Middle Road when the rider, a 20 year old Devonshire woman, lost control. The rider and her pillion passenger, an 18 year old Sandys parish man, were injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. The motorcycle received damage to multiple areas. Inquiries are underway.

Around 10pm on Sunday, Police and first responders attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish near the junction with Radnor Road. It appears that a car and a motorcycle were traveling along North Shore Road when the vehicles collided. The rider of the motorcycle, a 28 year old Hamilton parish man, was injured. He was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. The car driver was not injured. Inquiries are underway.

At 4pm on Sunday, Police and first responders attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on South Road in Paget near the junction with Southcote Road. It appears that a rental cycle was traveling along South Road when the rider, a 61 year old Maryland woman, lost control. The American visitor was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. The rental cycle received minor damage. Inquiries are underway.

Assault

Around 4:40am on Sunday, Police responded to a reported assault at a Hillsdale, Smith’s parish residence. It appears that around 4:20am that day the victim a 32 year old Smith’s parish man confronted two unknown men who were apparently attempting to remove his motorcycle from outside the home. The victim was assaulted by the suspects before they left the scene on a motorcycle apparently empty handed. The Smith’s parish man was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact the St. George’s Criminal Investigation Unit on 293-2222.

Weekend Activity

Over the weekend there was 1 person arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and 4 reported burglaries. There were also 6 reported damage only road traffic collisions, 9 reported road traffic collisions resulting in injury and 5 vehicles reported taken without their owners’ consent.
