Update: Sudden Death - The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 19 year old Kevin Faries of Warwick. The lifeless body of Mr. Faries was found outside a Rockland Crescent, Warwick residence around 11:15am on Sunday. An autopsy is anticipated in due course and inquiries into this incident are ongoing. The Bermuda Police Service extends condolences to the family & friends of the deceased. Police are looking at all possible lines of inquiry and pending the autopsy, no further comment can be made at this time. Anyone who may have any information regarding the death of Kevin Faries is encouraged to contact PC Donville Yarde on 295-0011.

Injury RTC/Impaired Driving

Around 4pm on Sunday, Police and first responders attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on Southside Road in St. George’s near the junction with Tommy Fox Road. It appears that a motorcycle was traveling along Southside Road when the rider, a 53 year old St. George’s man, lost control and collided with a utility pole. The St. George’s man sustained a leg injury and was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. He was subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. The motorcycle was extensively damaged. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Injury RTC

Around 12:45am on Saturday, Police attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on Harrington Sound Road in Hamilton parish near the junction with Arrowroot Lane. It appears that a car was traveling along Harrington Sound Road when the driver, a 39 year old Southampton woman, lost control. As a result the vehicle collided with a tree and went over an embankment. The driver received minor injuries. The car was extensively damaged. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Weekend Activity

Over the weekend there were 5 people arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and no reported burglaries. There were also 10 reported damage only road traffic collisions, 4 reported road traffic collisions resulting in injury and 8 vehicles reported taken without their owners’ consent.
