Damage Only RTC - Around 4:25pm on Monday, Police attended a report of a single vehicle road traffic collision at the junction of Somerset Road and Scaur Hill Drive in Sandys. It appears that the car was traveling along Somerset Road when the driver, a 39 year old Sandys man, collided with a wall. The driver was not injured. The car received moderate damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Meantime, 2:27am on Monday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision at the junction of North Shore Road and Store Hill, in Hamilton Parish involving a car and a truck. It appears that both vehicles were traveling along North Shore Road when they collided. The driver of the car, a 37 year old Pembroke man and the driver of the truck, a 44 year old Pembroke man were not injured. Both vehicles received moderate damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Injury RTC

A few minutes after 2pm on Monday, Police received a report of single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury at the junction of Harrington Sound Road and Wilkinson Avenue in Hamilton parish. Details are unclear at this time but it appears that the car was traveling along Harrington Sound Road when it collided with a wall. The driver left the scene before first responders arrived and at this time his injuries are unknown. The car received extensive damage. An investigation into this incident is underway.

Robbery

Also at 11:45am on Monday, Police received a report of a robbery on Chancery Lane in Pembroke. The complainant stated that at 3am on Saturday, January 1, 2011 he was walking along Chancery Lane when two young men approached him from behind and knocked him unconscious. The unknown suspects stole a quantity of jewelry and cash. The young man was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital to be further examined. Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who has any information on this incident to contact Police on 295-0011.
