Injury RTC – Around 9:40am on Thursday, Police and first responders attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury at the junction of Mangrove Bay Road and East Shore Road in Sandys involving a truck and an auxiliary cycle. It appears that both vehicles were traveling along Mangrove Bay Road when they collided. The rider of the auxiliary cycle, a 34 year old Sandys man, complained of pain in the torso area and was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. The driver of the truck, a 67 year old Hamilton parish man, was not injured. Both vehicles were damaged. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Meantime, at 2:27am on Thursday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury at the junction of North Shore Road and East Point Lane in Hamilton parish involving a car and an auxiliary cycle. It appears that both vehicles were traveling along North Shore Road when they collided. The rider of the auxiliary cycle, an 18 year old Pembroke man, sustained bruising on his hands. The driver of the car, a 22 year old Devonshire man, was not injured. Both vehicles received moderate damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
