Robbery - At 10:17pm on Friday December 24th a victim reported that a man wielding what appeared to be a bladed article entered a business on St. John's Road in Pembroke and made demands of money. The suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of cash; however no one was injured. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Attempted Robbery

Police responded to a report of a man lying in the street on Union Street in North Hamilton yesterday at 9:17pm. Upon police arrival it was ascertained that it appeared to be a botched attempted robbery, however it appears that the suspect made good his escape empty handed. The victim received a laceration to his face with a sharp object but his injury does not appear to be life threatening and the victim was reluctant to pursue this matter at this juncture. Anyone who may have seen this incident or may have any information about this incident is asked to contact the Central Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.

Sudden Death

Police responded to a report of a sudden death on Devon Point Lane in Devonshire at 9:31pm last evening. Upon officers arrival they came upon the lifeless body of a 61 year old Devonshire man. No further information will be given until the next of kin has been notified and foul play is not suspected.
