Confirmed Firearm Incident in Pembroke - Around 9pm on Wednesday, Police responded to a reported firearm incident in the Crane Lane area of North Shore Road, Pembroke. It appears that two men on a motorcycle confronted and discharged a firearm at another man who was on foot in the area. There were no reported injuries. However, upon arrival in the area Police Officers arrested a 30 year old man in connection with the matter and a quantity of suspected controlled drugs was seized. Evidence was also found to confirm that a firearm had been discharged. An active investigation into this incident is underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact the Serious Crimes Unit on 295-0011 or the independent, confidential Crime Stoppers Bermuda hotline on 800-8477.

Injury RTC

Around 8:15am on Thursday, Police and first responders attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on St. David’s Road in St. George’s near the junction with Dolly’s Bay Road involving a car and a motorcycle. It appears that both vehicles were traveling along St. David’s Road when they collided. The rider of the motorcycle, a 52 year old Sandys parish woman, was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. The driver of the car, a 37 year old St. George’s woman, was not injured. Both vehicles were damaged and there was some traffic delay in the area as a result. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 3:45am on Thursday, Police and first responders attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on Crow Lane in Pembroke near the junction with Corkscrew Hill. It appears that a motorcycle was traveling along Crow Lane when the rider, a 24 year old Devonshire man, lost control. The Devonshire man was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. He was subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. The motorcycle received front end damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
