Arrest - The Bermuda Police Service can confirm that a 43 year old Sandys parish man is currently in Police custody following an incident that occurred around 10am Thursday on North Shore Road in Devonshire near Loyal Hill Pass. Inquiries into this matter are ongoing.

Damage Only RTC

Around 9am on Friday, Police responded to a report of a damage only road traffic collision on Harbour Road in Paget near Lower Ferry. It appears that a taxi and a SUV were involved and as a result both lanes of Harbour Road were temporarily blocked, causing traffic to be diverted. Both vehicles were damaged; however no one was injured and normal traffic flow subsequently resumed along Harbour Road.

Injury RTC

Around 8:30am on Thursday, Police and first responders attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish near the junction with Coney Island Road. It appears that a car was traveling along North Shore Road when the driver, a 58 year old Devonshire woman, lost control. As a result the vehicle ended up on its side. The Devonshire woman was injured; however her injuries are not believed to be life threatening. The car received damage to multiple areas.

Burglary

Around 6:50am on Friday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Sound View Road, Sandys parish residence. It appears that sometime between 5pm Sunday, October 31st and 6am Friday, November 5th an unknown culprit gained entry into the home. The culprit stole two watches. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Advisory

The Bermuda Police Service continues to advise the public to remain vigilant regarding burglaries. All residents should make sure windows and doors are locked before leaving their homes unattended, even for short periods of time. The public is encouraged to report any suspicious activities or individuals in their neighbourhoods to Police on 295-0011.
