Injury RTC - At 9:45pm on Wednesday, Police and first responders attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on North Shore Road in Pembroke near Princess Estate Road involving a car and a motorcycle. It appears that both vehicles were traveling along North Shore Road when they collided. The rider of the motorcycle, a 26 year old Pembroke man, was injured. His injuries are not considered serious and he was subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. The driver of the car, a 49 year old Devonshire woman, was not injured. The motorcycle was extensively damaged while the car received moderate damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 9pm on Wednesday, Police and first responders attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on St. Mary’s Road in Warwick involving a van and another vehicle believed to be a motorcycle. It appears that both vehicles were traveling along St. Mary’s Road when they collided. The rider of the vehicle believed to be a motorcycle, a 36 year old Warwick man, was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. The driver of the van, a 37 year old Sandys parish man, was not injured. The van was damaged; however it is unknown what damage the other vehicle received. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 5:15pm on Wednesday, Police and first responders attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish in the vicinity of Flatts Bridge involving a car and a motorcycle. It appears that both vehicles were traveling along North Shore Road when they collided. The rider of the motorcycle, a 55 year old Pembroke man, was injured; however his injuries are not believed to be serious. He was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment and subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. The driver of the car, a 71 year old Hamilton parish woman, was not injured. The car received moderate damage while the motorcycle received extensive front end damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Burglary

Around 8pm on Wednesday, Police received a report of a burglary at a North Hill, Pembroke residence. It appears that sometime between 8:15am and 5:15pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into the home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a quantity of loose change. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 6:20pm on Wednesday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Middle Road, Southampton residence. It appears that sometime between 8am and 4:30pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into the home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a quantity of cash and an Apple I-Pod Touch. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Advisory

The Bermuda Police Service continues to advise the public to remain vigilant regarding burglaries. All residents should make sure windows and doors are locked before leaving their homes unattended, even for short periods of time. The public is encouraged to report any suspicious activities or individuals in their neighbourhoods to Police on 295-0011.
