Recent Firearm Incidents

Detective Chief Inspector Nicholas Pedro, Officer In Charge of the Serious Crime Unit – The Serious Crime Unit continues its investigations into the shooting incident at White Hill Field (Middle Road, Sandys parish) on Monday evening. The 19 year old victim remains in the hospital receiving treatment for his injuries which at this time remain non-life threatening.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank those members of the public who have assisted Police so far with information, statements, and other assistance at the scene. We would also like to acknowledge the patience and understanding of the public that was affected by the road closures whilst detectives examined the crime scene for forensic and other evidence.  

We are still interested in speaking with persons who were on the public bus that dropped the victim off at White Hill Field around 6:35pm on Monday evening, or anyone that saw or knows anything that may assist the enquiry team. Anyone with information on the shooting incident at White Hill is urged to call the Serious Crime Unit at 299-8106.

Officers from the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit are making enquiries into the confirmed discharging of a firearm by two men on a black motorcycle on St. Monica’s Road, Pembroke around 8:00pm last night and also the report of gunshots in the area of the Tennis Stadium and Bernard’s Park. A 20 year old Paget man has been arrested in connection with the St. Monica’s Road incident.

It is reported that a number of persons were seen fleeing the Tennis Stadium area on a motorcycle and also on foot immediately after the sound of the gunshots were heard. 

Investigators would like to speak to any person who witnessed these incidents or who may have seen two men riding a black motorcycle in the Marsh Folly/Tennis Stadium area around this time. Anyone with information on these incidents is urged to call the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 299-4535.
