Fatal RTC - The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 22 year old Adam Goodwin of Smith’s parish. Around 4:10am on Sunday, Police and first responders attended a report of a serious single vehicle road traffic collision on South Road in Smith’s parish near the junction with St. Mark’s Road. It appears that Mr. Goodwin was riding a motorcycle traveling along South Road when he lost control and collided with a wall. Mr. Goodwin sustained serious injuries and was rushed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital where he subsequently succumbed to those injuries. He was pronounced dead at 4:32am by an on call physician at the hospital. The Bermuda Police Service extends condolences to the family & friends of Mr. Goodwin. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this collision or anyone with any information to contact PC Darren Harvey on 295-0011.

Injury RTC

Around 1:30am on Sunday, Police and first responders attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on Stowe Hill in Paget involving a motorcycle and a bus. It appears that the motorcycle was traveling along Stowe Hill when it collided with the parked bus. The motorcycle rider, a 20 year old Southampton man, was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. Both the motorcycle and the bus were damaged. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this collision or anyone with any information to contact PC Dinell Bean on 295-0011.

At 10:10pm on Saturday, Police and first responders attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on South Road in Paget near the junction with College Rise. It appears that a motorcycle was traveling along South Road when the rider, a 42 year old Pembroke man lost control, colliding with a sidewalk and a pillar. He was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. The motorcycle sustained moderate damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this collision or anyone with any information to contact PC Tavoris Douglas on 295-0011.

Robbery

Around 11:20pm on Friday, Police received a report of a robbery on Redkiln Road in Hamilton parish. It appears that the victim, a 77 year old taxi driver from Hamilton parish, was accosted by four unknown men outside his residence after parking and exiting his vehicle. One of the men apparently brandished a weapon while another brandished a bladed article. The suspects took the victim’s BlackBerry cellular phone and made good their escape on foot towards the Railway Trail. The 77 year old Hamilton parish man received relatively minor injuries as a result. The suspects are described as four young men dressed in dark coloured clothing.
