Injury RTC - Around 5:15pm on Tuesday, Police responded to a report of a single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on St. David’s Road in St. George’s involving a Police car. Two officers in the vehicle at the time were injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment; however their injuries were minor and they were subsequently released. The Police car was extensively damaged. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Burglary

Around 8:10am on Wednesday, Police received a report of a burglary at Island Trading on Reid Street in Pembroke. It appears that sometime overnight an unknown culprit gained entry into the store and stole a quantity of rain suits. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for the public to be wary of anyone other than reputable businesses who may be attempting to sell rain suits. Anyone with any information is encouraged to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.

Around 11:40am on Tuesday, Police received a report of a burglary at an East Shore Road, Sandys parish residence. It appears that sometime between 11am and 11:35am that day an unknown culprit gained entry into the home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a Sony PlayStation 3 video game system. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Advisory

The Bermuda Police Service continues to advise the public to remain vigilant regarding burglaries. All residents should make sure windows and doors are locked before leaving their homes unattended, even for short periods of time. The public is encouraged to report any suspicious activities or individuals in their neighbourhoods to Police on 295-0011.
