Witness Appeal – Confirmed Firearm Incident in Pembroke

Detective Chief Inspector Nicholas Pedro, Officer in Charge of the Serious Crime Unit - Around 5:30pm on Monday 20th September, 2010 Police Officers responded to a confirmed firearm incident on Friswells Road in Pembroke. On arrival in the area it was ascertained that two men aged 22 years old had been injured. Their injuries are described as non-life threatening.

Detectives from the Serious Crime Unit are investigating this incident, and are particularly interested in speaking to anyone that may have observed a white SYM scooter motorcycle being ridden by one male in the vicinity immediately prior to the shooting.

A number of witnesses have already been seen, but we still need to speak with persons that may have seen or known anything about this incident.

The Bermuda Police Service continues to work hard to bring offenders to justice, which can be seen in the recent appearances of persons before the courts in recent months for a variety of serious offences, including murder.
