Burglary - At 2:35pm on Sunday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Tribe Road #3, Devonshire residence. It appears that sometime between Friday, July 16th and Sunday, August 1st an unknown culprit gained entry into the home while the complainant was overseas; however nothing was reported taken. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

At 8:55am on Sunday, Police received a report of a burglary at Smatt’s Cycle Livery in Southampton. It appears that sometime overnight an unknown culprit gained entry into the premises and stole a quantity of cash. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Weekend Activity

Over the Cup Match holiday weekend (from 7am Wednesday July 28th – 7am Monday August 2nd) there was one person arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and 9 reported burglaries. There were also 13 reported damage only road traffic collisions, 10 reported road traffic collisions resulting in injury and 9 vehicles reported taken without their owners’ consent. In addition there were 5 reports of loud music.

The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their cooperation during the Cup Match holiday. Officers were kept busy with calls for service over the four day weekend; however there were no major incidents reported.
