Missing Person - The Bermuda Police Service is appealing for the public’s assistance in locating 28 year old Antonio Pacheco of Pembroke. Mr. Pacheco is described as a Caucasian male, approximately 6’ tall weighing around 190 pounds with brown hair. He was last seen wearing an orange shirt, white shorts and brown shoes, with two small earrings in each ear as well as a thin gold chain around his neck. Mr. Pacheco was last seen at The Bistro at The Beach on Front Street in the City of Hamilton around 3am Wednesday, July 28th 2010. Police are appealing for anyone with any information on the whereabouts of 28 year old Antonio Pacheco to contact the Hamilton Police Station on 295-0011.

Marine Rescue

Around 9:30pm on Thursday, the Police Marine Unit received a report of an overturned sailboat off the North Shore in the area of Admiralty House. Marine Unit officers as well as soldiers from the Bermuda Regiment’s Boat Troop responded in Police vessels and commenced the search for the solo sailor, a 17 year old young man. Using flares and with the assistance of Bermuda Radio, the Police vessels located the teenager and brought him onboard one of the rescue vessels. His sailboat was secured to one of the oil docks’ mooring buoys and the 17 year old was transported back to Marine Unit headquarters uninjured.
