Update: Serious Injury RTC - Around 10:10pm on Sunday, Police responded to a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury near the junction of North Shore Road and Jennings Road in Smith’s parish involving a taxi and a motorcycle. It appears that the motorcycle was traveling east on North Shore Road and the taxi was traveling in the opposite direction when the vehicles collided. The rider of the motorcycle, a 35 year old Hamilton parish man sustained injuries to his head, hands and feet. He was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. He was initially treated in the Intensive Care Unit, but has since been moved to a general ward and at last check was in stable condition. The taxi driver, a 64 year old Devonshire man, was not injured. The motorcycle was extensively damaged while the taxi received front end damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to contact PC David Harris on 295-0011.

Weekend Activity

Over the weekend there were 5 people arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and 4 reported burglaries. There were also 10 reported damage only road traffic collisions, 5 reported road traffic collisions resulting in injury and 4 vehicles reported taken without their owners’ consent.
