Fatal RTC - The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 27 year old Omar Sutton of Warwick. Around 2:40am on Saturday, Mr. Sutton was riding a motorcycle traveling west on Middle Road in Paget near the junction with Valley Road (in the vicinity of Paget Shell gas station) when he apparently lost control and collided with a BELCO truck traveling in the opposite direction. Mr. Sutton was rushed to KEMH via ambulance but subsequently succumbed to his injuries. He was pronounced dead at 3:13am Saturday by on call physician at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital. The Bermuda Police Service extends condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Sutton. The truck driver, a 49 year old Sandys parish man, was not injured. The motorcycle was extensively damaged while the truck received extensive front end damage. Inquiries are ongoing. Police continue to appeal for any witnesses to this collision to contact PC Anthony Ricketts on 295-0011.
The death of Omar Sutton marks the 6th road fatality for 2010.
