Robbery - Around 11pm on Thursday, Police received a report of a robbery. It appears that a taxi picked up two men in the Palmetto Road area of Devonshire and transported them to the Lime House Lane area of Hamilton Parish. The taxi stopped and one man exited the vehicle, only to return a short time later brandishing what appeared to be a firearm. The suspect demanded money from the taxi driver, who handed over a quantity of cash. A struggle ensued, with the second suspect exiting the taxi to join in. The taxi driver, a 61 year old Devonshire man, sustained a laceration to the head as a result. Both suspects made good their escape on foot in the area of North Shore Road. The taxi driver was treated at the scene by EMTs before being taken to KEMH via ambulance for further medical treatment. The suspects are described as two black males, approximately 6’ tall. One was brown skinned of medium build wearing a blue jacket, blue jeans and a dark coloured hat. The other was dark skinned of slim build wearing a black shirt, sagging jeans which showed red underpants and a blue jacket with stripes. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Burglary

At 6pm on Thursday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Berkeley Road, Pembroke residence. The complainants stated that sometime between 8:15am and 5:50pm that day an unknown culprit or culprits gained entry into their apartment while it was unoccupied. The culprit(s) stole a quantity of electronics, jewelry and personal items. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
