Injury RTC - Around 2:15pm on Tuesday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on Point Finger Road in Paget involving a car and a motorcycle. It appears that the car and the motorcycle were traveling in opposite directions when the vehicles collided. The rider of the motorcycle, a 36 year old man, complained of pain to his left hand and left foot. He was taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment. The driver of the car, a 72 year old Warwick woman, was not injured. The vehicles received relatively minor damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Burglary

Around 12:30pm on Tuesday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Spice Hill Road, Warwick residence. The complainants stated that sometime between 10am and 12:15pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into their home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a silver Apple laptop computer, a black Panasonic flat screen TV, a silver Sony Camcorder, a black digital video camera and a silver Sanyo digital camera. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Advisory

The Bermuda Police Service continues to advise the public to remain vigilant regarding burglaries. In particular, there has been a recent increase in burglaries in the Ord Road, Harbour Road, Forest Hill Drive, Rocklands Estate, Spice Hill Road & Burnt House Hill, Warwick area and surrounding areas.

We are reminding all residents to keep their valuables locked away & out of sight, ideally in a safe. In addition, the serial numbers of all ‘big ticket’ items (such as jewelry & electronics) should be written down and secured in a safe or separate secure location; in the event any of these items are stolen and later recovered, the information can be used to identify them.

Finally, residents should make sure all windows and doors are locked before leaving their homes unattended, even for short periods of time. The public is encouraged to report any suspicious activities or individuals in their neighbourhoods to Crime Stoppers Bermuda on 800-8477. RFC #72 Passing Out Parade

The Passing Out Parade for Recruit Foundation Course #72 will take place today at 4pm at Police Headquarters, Prospect Devonshire. All media are encouraged to attend. Members of the public are also invited to attend.
