Sudden Death

Around 10:40am today, Police received a report of a sudden death in the Verdmont Valley Close, Smith's parish area. Officers attended the scene a short time later. The body of the victim, believed to be a 38 year old Smith's parish man, was pronounced dead by an on call physician at the scene at 12:05pm. It appears that the body had been there for some time before being discovered by a member of the public. No further information will be released until the next of kin have been notified.
Around 9:30am today, Police received a report of a sudden death at a Tee Street, Devonshire residence. EMTs also attended the scene. The victim, a 55 year old Devonshire man, was found in an unresponsive state by a family member. The Devonshire man was subsequently pronounced dead at 10:10am by an on call physician at the scene. No further information will be released until the next of kin have been notified.
Autopsies are anticipated in due course for both matters.
