Burglary - Around 6:45pm on Wednesday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Whaling Hill, Southampton residence. The complainant stated that sometime between 7:20am and 6:30pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into her home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a Nintendo Wii video game system, several Wii games, a Dell laptop computer and a Sony DVD player. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 6:05pm on Wednesday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Privateer Lane, Warwick residence. The complainant stated that sometime between 8:30am and 5:45pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into an apartment on the premises while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a Sony DVD player and a black 26” Toshiba flat screen TV. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

At 5:50pm on Wednesday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Southcourt Avenue, Paget residence. The complainant stated that sometime between 1pm and 5:30pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into his home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a HP mini netbook computer, a Sony PlayStation video game system with wireless controllers and a PlayStation game as well as a Canon digital camera, a silver I-Pod Touch and a pair of Logitech wireless headphones. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Advisory

The Bermuda Police Service continues to advise the public to remain vigilant regarding burglaries. All residents should make sure windows and doors are locked before leaving their homes unattended, even for short periods of time. The public is encouraged to report any suspicious activities or individuals in their neighbourhoods to Police on 295-0011.
