Injury RTC

At 3:50pm on Thursday, Police attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish, near the junction with Bay Island Drive. It appears that a motorcycle was traveling east on North Shore Road when the rider, an 18 year old Warwick man, lost control attempting to negotiate a sharp right hand bend. The Warwick man sustained facial injuries and an injury to his right wrist. He declined medical treatment for his injuries and was subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 1pm on Thursday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on Court Street in Pembroke, near the junction with Victoria Street. It appears that a car was traveling south on Court Street when it collided with two parked cars and overturned. The driver of the car, a 76 year old Devonshire man, was taken to KEMH for treatment of his injuries, which are not believed to be life threatening. The car was moderately damaged. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Burglary

At 6:45pm on Thursday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Southcourt Avenue, Paget residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 8am and 5:30pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into his home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole two gold Masonic rings, a gold & silver Citizen watch and a gold Movado watch. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
