Update – Southside Cinema Shooting

Detective Chief Inspector Nicholas Pedro, Serious Crime Unit - The Bermuda Police Service is seeking the assistance of the public in their investigations into the callous shooting that took place on Friday 13th November 2009, at the Southside Cinema in St. George’s parish.

Members of the public will recall that around 11:30pm, a gunman took aim at a man and his pregnant girlfriend while they were out enjoying themselves at the movies.

Detectives from the Serious Crime Unit are aware that there were over 140 persons at the cinema that night. Whilst investigators have interviewed a number of people that were there, they are seeking to obtain information from anyone that has pertinent information, and who has not already spoken to the Police on this matter.

Detectives are also seeking information from persons who were in the area between 9:15pm and 11:45pm that same night, who may also have information pertinent to the enquiry.

This was a brutal crime on members of the society, including an unborn child, and the Police wish to speak with anyone that can assist in bringing this crime to a just and successful conclusion.
