Assault - Around 9:10pm on Sunday, Police received a report of an assault. It appears that the victim, a 31 year old St. George’s man, was attacked by a group of unknown men in the area of the Royal Artillery Association (RAA) in St. George’s. The victim sustained injuries to his head and was taken to the Lamb Foggo Urgent Care Centre for medical assistance before being taken to KEMH for further treatment. A 28 year old St. George’s man has been arrested in connection with the incident. Inquiries are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident or anyone with any information to contact the St. George’s Criminal Investigation Unit on 293-2222.

Injury RTC/Impaired Driving

At 1am on Sunday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on Berkeley Road in Pembroke near the junction with Mount Hill. It appears that a motorcycle was traveling north on Berkeley Road when it collided with a parked SUV. The rider of the motorcycle, a 44 year old Pembroke man, sustained abrasions to his hands and head; however he declined medical treatment. He was subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and detained after failing the alco-analyser test. The parked SUV received moderate front end damage while the motorcycle received extensive front end damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Weekend Activity

Over the weekend there were 3 people arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and 3 reported burglaries. There were also 8 reported damage only road traffic collisions, 7 reported road traffic collisions resulting in injury and 7 vehicles reported taken without their owners’ consent.
