Injury RTC - Around 12:05am today, Police attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on South Road in Warwick near the junction with Rocklands Road. It appears that a taxi was traveling east on South Road when the driver, a 24 year old Sandys parish man, lost control. As a result the vehicle broke through a wooden railing and went over an embankment, ending up in Astwood Park. The Sandys parish man reportedly sustained a bump to the head and attended KEMH for treatment. Apparently the taxi driver was the only person in the vehicle at the time. The taxi was extensively damaged. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Burglary

Around 12:15am today (Monday), Police received a report of a burglary at a St. David’s Road, St. George’s residence. The complainants stated that sometime between 3pm and 11:15pm on Sunday, an unknown culprit gained entry into their home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a quantity of scuba diving equipment. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

At 12:10pm on Sunday, Police received a report of a burglary at The Wok Express in Southampton. The complainant stated that sometime between 11:30pm on Saturday and 11:30am on Sunday, an unknown culprit gained entry into a storage room on the premises. It is unclear what if anything was taken. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 9:20am on Sunday, Police received a report of a burglary at The Village Café in Sandys parish. The complainant stated that sometime between 5:45pm on Saturday and 9:10am on Sunday, an unknown culprit gained entry into the premises. The culprit stole a cash register containing a quantity of loose change. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Weekend Activity

Over the weekend there were 4 people arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and 11 reported burglaries. There were also 8 reported damage only road traffic collisions, 6 reported road traffic collisions resulting in injury and 4 vehicles reported taken without their owners’ consent.
