Injury RTC - Around 8pm on Sunday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on Blackwatch Pass in Pembroke involving an auxiliary cycle and a motorcycle. It appears that the motorcycle was traveling north on Blackwatch Pass and the auxiliary cycle was traveling in the opposite direction when the vehicles collided. The rider of the motorcycle, a 30 year old Pembroke man, sustained head injuries and abrasions to his left foot while his passenger, a 29 year old Pembroke woman, also sustained head injuries. The rider of the auxiliary cycle, a 31 year old Smith’s parish woman, sustained head injuries and a fractured left wrist. All of the injured parties were taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment. The motorcycle and the auxiliary cycle were extensively damaged as a result. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to contact PC Seymour Foote on 295-0011.

Police Recruits to Patrol During Christmas Shopping

Police recruits currently on Recruit Foundation Course #72 will be patrolling the City of Hamilton in anticipation of a busy shopping period leading up to Christmas. The trainee officers along with their supervisors will be monitoring the city area from today until Christmas Eve (Thursday, December 24th).

Weekend Activity

Over the weekend there were 4 people arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and 9 reported burglaries. There were also 12 reported damage only road traffic collisions, 7 reported road traffic collisions resulting in injury and 3 vehicles reported taken without their owners’ consent.
